I am one of the most fortunate people to have been referred to and, a patient of Dr. Vaze for almost two years. My experience throughout these past two years has been full of learning and healing. I went through years of misdiagnosis and misunderstanding. I didn’t trust and didn’t allow myself to be too vulnerable with medical professionals. It didn’t take me long to realize how incredibly patient, and non-judgemental Dr. Vaze is - and continued to be every single appointment. He is an active listener and a brilliant communicator that would explain topics until he knew I understood. I could show up to any appointment, as my true self, whatever that meant in the moment or day. He was compassionate towards every mood dip or life event that affected me. I felt safe sharing everything because I know that he genuinely cared and wanted the best outcome possible for me. I’ve learned how to be brutally honest with certain professionals that are trying to help now. Because of the safe space he created, I could share the good, bad and in between. This meant I actually learned the truth and started understanding who, what, where, when, why, of parts of my life! So, I’m more honest with those trying to support me! I appreciate Dr. Vaze very much for his compassion and patience!! More than that, he really got to know me, and was very tuned into my facial expressions and body language; so many times I answered by laughing or with only a smirk and he just got it. Another part of my experience with Dr. Vaze was the constant support with all of my life matters. The amount of extra work I asked of him was substantial, the list is too long to add here. Even when our appointments ended, he dedicated extra time and energy into helping me. He did anything and everything in his power to support me when he could - with a smile. His support was truly life changing for me. I am beyond grateful for the knowledge, empowerment and self awareness I have gained regarding my mental health because of Dr. Vaze. He has guided me to this point and provided me with a full tool box of knowledge and skills that will support me as I continue on this path beyond our appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Vaze! He is an incredible doctor and person. I’m very grateful to have been one of his patients. I know he will continue to change lives for the better and positively impact the Mental Health community as a whole.

Dr. Vazé helped me immensely with my ADHD. He was kind, compassionate and thoughtful. He always took the time to listen to my thoughts and concerns and our appointments never felt rushed or like I was an inconvenience or burden to him. Honestly, Dr. Vazé is the best psychiatrist that I've seen. He knows his stuff!

If it weren’t for the work Dr. Vaze has put into the mental health field I would not have learned that life gets better. Because without his open mindset, I would have never been diagnosed or treated, let alone learn that life doesn’t have to be so hard. I’m thankful that he took the time to teach me that I could do it all along, I just needed some extra help.

I truly enjoyed the care given to me by Dr Vaze. For the first time I really felt that he was listening to me and actually hearing things I was not voicing. Further more he would pickup on my non-verbal demeanor which often said a lot. What I enjoyed the most is that he was able to laugh with me which helped decrease my level of anxiety at that moment. He easily smiles which is very rare in most psychiatrists I have delt with in twenty some years. I regret not having Dr Vaze as my psychiatrist anymore being he is having to the UK. You are very lucky. A friend of mine who is in the medical field got to meet him a number of times and was truly impressed by his caring. Thank you Dr Vaze, Monique R ROH Ottawa, ON (CANADA)

Dr. Vaze treated me for just over 1 year. I was severely depressed and had very high anxiety. He worked very hard with me to find the right combination of medication to get me where I am today; a totally new person. He is a very compassionate and caring. It was a privilege to have him as my doctor. I will miss him immensely. I wish him the best in the UK. They will be very fortunate to have him as their doctor.

Profile

Having spent 4 amazing years working in a Tertiary level Mood and Anxiety Program in Ottawa, Canada, where I have learnt so much and more importantly have been moved by the warmth, humility and reilience of Canadians, I have bittersweet emotions of leaving Canada but moving back to the UK which was my home for about 20 years before that. I am hoping to use this additional experience during my future NHS and private Consultant Psychiatrist work in Adult ADHD and Mood disorders.
